Orchestrating experiences through harmony.

Over a decade of UX experience with roots in music performance, education, and the pure love of good design.

Hi. I'm Caroline.

My path to product design wound its way from performing as a classical clarinetist to exploring my interests at the intersection of technology and the visual arts. With a background in music education from UMass Amherst, I experienced what it took to refine my craft and artistic practice and unique, meaningful collaboration that flourishes within an orchestral community. Teaching classroom music brought deep lessons in listening, empathy and collaboration. These skills and experience underly my values as a designer and team member.

For over ten years I have applied these lessons and values to building digital products, to solving real problems for real people while attending to business goals.

I am a firm believer in Inclusive Design and the practical application of Behavioral Economics. I don't just design for the "happy path"; I design for the edges, ensuring that products are accessible, ethical, and intentionally crafted to help people achieve their goals.

Beyond the Screen

Living in Arlington, Virginia, I find balance in the analog world. I enjoy completing a new trail on AllTrails, kayaking, drawing, reading. Ask me about my rock collection. :)

I also find peace through the eye of a lens. Having studied landscape photography in design school, my work often explores the intersection between nature, geometry, and the manmade landscape.
